What just happened to your settings

• Your mode, your dials, your schedule and your list of paused domains lived in Chrome's extension storage on this machine. Chrome deleted all of it when it removed the extension.
• Every page you visit is served exactly as its publisher intended again. No stylesheet of ours remains in any tab.
• There was never an account, a profile or a mailing list, so there is nothing to close, unsubscribe from or request the deletion of.

If something drove you off, we would genuinely like to know

We cannot see what went wrong, because we collect nothing that would tell us. A single sentence from you is worth more than any dashboard we could have built.

• A page folded badly — send the address and a note about what looked wrong. Grey-on-grey body text and washed-out images are the two we chase hardest.
• It got in the way — slowed a site down, fought with another extension, or flashed white before settling.
• A control you wanted — a fourth dial, a font setting, a per-site schedule. Tell us what was missing.

Reading in the dark, without us

If Inkfold was not right for you, the habit still might be. Chrome's own dark theme covers the browser's furniture; many sites now honour your system preference on their own; and Reader-style views strip a page to its text if that is what you were after. We would rather you read comfortably by other means than uncomfortably by ours.

If you change your mind

The door does not lock. Reinstall from the Chrome Web Store and set your fold again — it takes about four seconds, though your old per-domain dials will have gone with the storage.
